2004/12/30 @ 18:56:43 by Sheli Received this right before Christmas. I immediately replied and said 'go ahead and send a check'. Then began a dialogue - he wanted mailing address, fax number, phone number, age, race, job title and sex. i replied with my work information. No DOB or anything personal other than my name. He then emailed me back and said i either needed to go the Amsterdam to pick up the funds (all costs associated would be incurred by me and not deducted from my winnings) or I could have some barristers "bingley and bingley" prepare everything for me. I replied that he sent me his attorneys information, I would have my attorney contact them. And that I preferred to have my funds wired through Western Union. Of course time is running out - I either have 10 business days or 5 (both have been mentioned as deadlines). I did play devils advocate and sent him some links to references to this scam with the comment "boy this looks familiar, but for me it's real, right?" I'm curious as to what he'll say now. Too good to be true, absolutely, but if he's going to waste my time, I'll play right back! By the way, his grammar and spelling sucks - a dead give away.
