Sam Templeton's Dad
« on: June 06, 2005, 12:51:56 PM »
Got a phone call from Sam Templeton.  She is in Houston with her Dad.  He has been in I C U for many days.  He had complications with a previous surgery and they had to go back in and do some fixing.  He is doing better but is going to have some more surgery.  Please keep him in your prayers and all the Dr that are involved with him and also Sam.  Jim will be home today and Sam will come home for a day or 2 once her brothers comes to the hospital but she will go back after that.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

Update on Sam Templeton's Dad

He suffered complications from a by-pass surgery he had in his lower abdomen earlier this year.  He complained for several weeks of pain and weakness, but not until it ruptured internally did he get taken seriously.  He has had 3 constructive bypass surgeries bypassing the bad one, while being in this hospital stay.  One of the surgeries went right through his stomach causing a longer recovering period.  The drs stated they had to put his stomach to sleep then wait for days until it wakes up before they can go on. He then had reactions to his medications, consequently taking more medications.  I think we end up treating the symptoms of the medications as well as for the condition.  He is now stable and has been moved out of SICU and although he will have a lengthy recovery time, his drs feel confident that he will get well.

From the time he was bleeding internally and the time he got himself to the hospital, the Drs. told us, " it was a miracle of prayer"  we will never forget that statement.

Our family would like to thank you for all your prayers, the emails and the phone calls we received for his wellness.  THANK YOU!

And thank you for this prayer line!
