To Shoe or Not To Shoe - That is the question :)
« on: July 20, 2005, 10:41:02 PM »
Do you automatically shoe all of your barrel horses?  Mine has nice, solid feet and is not tender or clumsey in any way.  Do I need to shoe him?  Will it give us a better advantage?

Thanks for your time and consideration
.

The horses that I am hauling a lot are shod but my young horses that only go every now and then just have shoes on in the front.  I would prefer to be able to leave a horse barefoot as much as possible but the pavement and sorry ground conditions in lots of parking areas won't allow it, especially if you have a horse that tends to be tender footed or gets sore easily.
