Laurie Berryman injured in riding accident
« on: August 13, 2005, 07:01:47 PM »
Laurie was out riding Friday and had a riding accident.  Her husband found her at 10 oclock at night in the pasture.  She is bleeding on the brain and in serious but stable condition at Harris Methodist in Ft Worth Tx.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Let us be reminded of what Captain John Parker told his army at Lexington Green, the place where the War for Independence began in 1775. He said, “Stand your ground. Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war, let it begin here.

No, Tracy called me yesterday on her way home from OKC.  She said she would let us know when she heard anymore.

I just had Jody call Lori's good friend and neighbor, Danny Lee and Danny said they did another cat scan this morning and there hasn't been any changes since yesterday which is a good thing.  There isn't any swelling in her brain.  She is still in and out of conciousness.  It's still just a wait and see situation.

Please keep Lori in your prayers.

Dear Heavenly Father, I just lift Laurie up to you Lord and ask that you heal the bleeding in her brain.  I ask that you heal any injuries that have happended to her as a result of this accident.  I ask that you lay it upon her friends hearts throughout the next few days and as long as is needed that we continue to pray for her and for strengh for her family so that they may help her.  I thank you Lord in advance for the healing that she will have and the awareness that she has been saved as a result of her purpose here.  I ask you and thank you in Jesus name, Amen

Love you Laurie, and am praying for you,

Tae Markgraf :later: <(' ')>

Lori,

I know you'd rather be home and back on your horse, but take care of yourself!  I'm praying for you and your family and your horses.

I'll be waiting patiently for you to rodeo with me when you get better!

Best 'get well' wishes!!!

Renee Plemons.

Here is an update on Lori:

She is still very serious.. The bleeding has stopped and the are just watching for blood clots. She had scrapes on the right side of her body, right wrist was swollen and the right front and right side of her brain is where the trauma is...  The doctor said the trauma was very severe.  So it's basically going to be a waiting game. She is however, responding to the nurses and they may try to get her up and move around today. They do not want any visitors at this time because they are trying to let her rest. Her mom and Dennis are with her at this time.

As soon as we hear from Dennis, we'll update ya'll again. Please-Please keep Lori and Dennis in your prayers!!!!

For those who don't know Lori, she is one of the nicest, down to earth people you will ever meet.  Prayers to her for a quick recovery.   <(' ')>
