Yep, you can press charges. I would send in the transfer...make a copy first, and get him in your name NOW! Call the sherriff and report the horse stolen. Explain to them what happened. Explain to them that you had him in your care up until such date and you were trying to sell him and the girl you bought him from offered to help...then things went wrong....She sounds like a loon. I have dealt with loons before. She is trying to steal the horse back from you and keep the cash....not good. That is horse left. I would call the sherriff, arrange for an escort to go with you to pick the horse up ASAP. Make sure the law is involved. This could get ugly. For all you know, she is starving him and trying to use it against you. Have proof of what you have been feeding the horse and how much. This might have to go to court! Yuk! Get the law on your side before she gets them on her side.... no exscuses. Tell only the truth.
