Report available on antimicrobial resistance

The second executive report from the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System—Enteric Bacteria is now available online from the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine. The report summarizes NARMS data from 2004 on Salmonella and Campylobacter isolates from food animals, retail meats, and humans. FDA answers questions on BSE feed rule

The Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine has posted answers to frequently asked questions about implementation of the feed ban to prevent the spread of bovine spongiform encephalopathy. BREEDERS’ CUP ADOPTS TOUGH STEROIDS RULE
