LIST OF CEM STALLIONS RELEASED; NO POSITIVE MARES FOUND

New York State Agriculture Commissioner Patrick Hooker released a statement on Jan. 22 alerting New York horse owners to the ongoing investigation into contagious equine metritis (CEM), a contagious venereal disease. “The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets and USDA veterinarians have quarantined the nine exposed mares in New York State and have begun testing,” the statement noted.
