AQHA DEBUTS GREENER PASTURES

America’s Horse, March 19, 2009 – American Quarter Horse owners love their horses – past, present and future – and many want to keep track of those horses even after they are sold. The American Quarter Horse Association developed the Greener Pastures program to reunite breeders and previous owners with horses they remember well. American Paint Horse Foundation raises $25,000 to launch new therapeutic riding program

FORT WORTH, Texas—The American Paint Horse Foundation’s mission to “improve lives through the power of Paints,” was strengthened recently, when the charitable organization reached its goal of raising $25,000 to start a therapeutic riding fund. In only six months, the Foundation identified the need, set a goal and met its primary objective to raise the money and get its initiative funded. THE LATEST ON CLONES

In March 2008 Prometea, a Haflinger mare and world’s first cloned horse, foaled Pegaso in Cremona, Italy, making the colt the first offspring of an equine clone. One month later, Pierazade du Vialaret, a filly and the first foal sired by a cloned stallion, was born in France.
