Florida pharmacy is sued over fatal supplement dose

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The owners of 21 elite polo horses given a deadly concoction of vitamin supplements are suing the Ocala pharmacy that supplied the compound. Quantum Management Company and three individuals have filed suit in Palm Beach County claiming Franck’s Pharmacy was solely responsible for improperly mixing the vitamin compound that led to the horse’s deaths. The Wellington-based company is demanding more than $4 million from the pharmacy. The pharmacy said it had no comment. Quantum didn’t immediately return a message left Thursday.
