To commemorate the association’s 50th anniversary, American Paint Horse Association (APHA) members can now get a retro-style reproduction of the Certificate of Registration for any registered Paint Horse, complete with APHA’s 50th anniversary logo and hand-colored likeness of the horse. APHA is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2012, and has now registered over one million horses. Before the advent of modern technology, each and every one of the first 69,000 registration certificates issued had the horse’s coat markings painstakingly hand-colored by APHA staff.
