Designed to reward competing Paint Horses and their owners, breeders and stallion owners, theBreeders’ Trust program has paid out more than $14,017,733.92 since its inception in 1994. In 2012, enrolled horses earned more than $766,839 through their Breeders’ Trust achievements. Highlights of the 2012 Breeders’ Trust payout include: Total funds available for distribution in 2012: $766,839.11. Total points earned in 2012: 85,545 Point value for 2012: $8.96 “The primary reason for the decline in dollars per point figure from previous years is less funds collected and more points being earned,” said Director of Breeders’ Trust Steven Imhof.
