You won’t want to miss out on the premiere of the Texas Classic Working Western Series Barrel Racing and Pole Bending, an AQHA approved double-pointed event to be held Saturday, May 21 at the Diamond W Arena in Alvarado, Texas.
This event features classes in Junior, Senior, Amateur and Youth Barrel Racing and Pole Bending, as well as Amateur Select (50&over exhibitor) class. Barrel exhibitions will be offered on Friday, May 20 from 6 to 11 p.m. at Diamond W Arena at a cost of $5 each. Lucky exhibitor prize drawings will also be held
Saturday’s event begins at 9:00 a.m. with the pole bending classes. Judge for this event is Delena Doyle, Azle, Texas.
Entry fees are $35 with 40% jackpotted back to each class. Fee to participate in the 4/D barrel race is $45 per horse. The 4/D barrel race features $2500 in added purse monies. Lucky exhibitor prize drawings will also be held in each class.
Deadline to enter the 4/D is May 15, 2011. Times from the AQHA barrel race classes may be carried over to the 4/D, but must be declared at original time of entry.
