Buffalo, NY – October 19, 2010 – Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) is pleased to announce an educational clinic with the legendary George H. Morris on the weekend of November 12, 13, & 14, 2010. Held at the BTRC facility in Buffalo, NY, the opportunity to partake in this event will be open to three groups (Intermediate, Advanced, Jumper) of eight riders, as well as auditors seeking knowledge through observation. Many spots are still available for auditors at $75 per auditor per day or for $200 for all three days. A legendary horseman and Chef d’Equipe of the United States Show Jumping Team, Morris has played an integral role, not only in the development of countless renowned horses and riders, but also in the development of the equestrian sport in its entirety. Second to none, his teachings, technique, and style are revered around the world. Over the course of his career, Morris has been highly successful as a rider, coach, clinician, author, and judge. His insight and guidance is invaluable to anyone looking to further their riding skills, whether as a participant or as an auditor. The clinic will focus as much on horsemanship as it does on riding, offering attendees first hand knowledge for success.
The daily clinic schedule will include the first group of intermediate riders from 9:00-11:00 a.m., followed by advanced riders from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The final group of jumpers riders will be held from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
SBS Farms’ rider and trainer as well as the 2009 Chronicle of the Horse Show Hunter Horsewoman of the Year, Jennifer Alfano will participate in the clinic this year and looks forward to the knowledge and experience that Morris will share. SBS Farms’ Director Susan B. Schoellkopf enjoys the opportunity to host one of the horse world’s greatest teachers at the farm’s historical facility.

Schoellkopf is also the Executive Director of the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center, which houses both The Buffalo Equestrian Center as well as SBS Farms.
