Position Available: AQHA Senior Manager of YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Amarillo, Texas, July 17, 2006 – The American Quarter Horse Association is accepting applications for senior manager of youth activities. The current AQHA Senior Manager of Youth Activities, Christy Bramwell, has accepted a position at AQHA as the Senior Manager of Education.

AQHA’s Senior Manager of Youth Activities will work with AQHA’s Director of Membership Services in developing and implementing marketing, promotions, communications and programs designed to increase membership and awareness in the American Quarter Horse Youth Association. He or she also will manage and oversee the programs and activities for all youth members of the American Quarter Horse Youth Association including the activities of the AQHYA Officers and Directors.

The senior manager of youth activities will manage the youth department of the American Quarter Horse Association and serve as the staff liaison for members of the AQHA Youth Activities Committee and the AQHYA Executive Committee, which consists of up to 33 directors, including five AQHYA officers.

He or she also will maintain regular communication with youth affiliate advisers and assist with development and management of all youth affiliates; this includes working one on one with each affiliate to ensure they expand their programs to meet the needs of AQHYA members in their respective state/province and help them establish and meet yearly goals.
