A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SELKET ARABIANS

In the past 12 months, horses from the Selket Arabians breeding program designed by James A. Andreson have won Regional, National and International honors.

Looking back, we remember wins and honors from the Michigan Arabian Horse Breeders Futurity, considered by many to be one of the most important futurities of its kind in the United States.

We remember a total of NINE different horses linked to our breeding program winning their classes or making it to Top Ten at Scottsdale, where the classy Selket Marque made his own mark of distinction along with Selket Mystique for David Cains and Scott Bailey of Stonewall Farm.

We remember Selket Mystery, jumping hurdles and raising the bar for Aimee Pahl at important Regional shows on the East Coast …

We remember SELKET LOUCHIANO at the U.S. Nationals and now in training for the U.S. Sport Horse Nationals …

We were extremely proud of Joanne Adcock and her Khamal daughter Kizzes doing very well in open Dressage shows.

We were thrilled to learn that two Khamal sons (Selket Shadow and Selket Khan) from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan qualified for the Tevis Cup …

We were encouraged and thrilled when Lady Gina Pelham of Argentina selected Menao FM out of Selket Promise Kept (by Furno Khamal) for her stable. We understand that FM Arabians have kept a full sibling as a potential Jr. herd sire, and also exported the Khamal great-granddaughter named Davinitee FM to England, where she is doing so well over in Europe.

We remember Theresa Rorabaugh negotiating the export of Selket Ta Da to the Middle East …

We remember Foxbriar Sharwan (Grandson of Selket Mirror [by Khamal]) surprising everyone but those who believed in him as he won his class at Scottsdale and then went on to win the Brazilian National Championship ….

Please join us in congratulating all of the owners and lovers of horses from our breeding program. There were many, and, if we failed to mention you specifically, please forgive us and let us know.

And now – as we announce the racing stable of Hevener Farms merging with Selket Arabians in its 45th year – we remember the Stallions behind it all: 16.2 Hand, World Champion *FURNO KHAMAL and the popular Racing Champion “NAHGUA” (Nugui El Khamsin) … powerful legacies joining forces as we race for excellence in breeding Tall, Exotic and Athletic horses for the Winner’s Circle.

“May your horses always be beautiful … and may the magic last forever” ….
