America’s Horse, February 2, 2009 – The Next-Generation AQHA Records have debuted, making the process of researching your favorite American Quarter Horse easier to access, read and understand.
“A lot of research went into the development of AQHA’s Next-Generation Records,” said Tammy Garrison, AQHA director of customer service. “We wanted to develop a site that was more conventional for both members and nonmembers. Not only are the records enhanced a great deal, but the site is more consumer-friendly in guiding users through their purchases.”
The American Quarter Horse Association offers the only reports available linking official records with official pedigree information maintained by the Association. Official AQHA records are the most current, authoritative tools available for breeders, trainers, stallion owners and general horse enthusiasts who enjoy learning more about the pedigrees of the world’s most popular horse.
AQHA first introduced pedigree records on the Internet in 1999. Since then, more records have been added and functionality improved. Today’s Next-Generation Records are the result of a decade of learning from and listening to members, and using advances in Internet technology, including online shopping systems and portable document formatting.
For the time being, the original pedigree records will remain, and AQHA members still receive their first $10 in Internet records free.
The Next-Generation Records are accessible through AQHA’s home page at www.aqha.com or by logging into the member services area. Rather than receiving $10 free each month, AQHA members will receive preferred pricing on all Next-Generation Records, plus special bonuses, coupons and added benefits.
As a part of the Next-Generation Records’ debut, AQHA members who access the system and order the new Get of Sire – All Foals record and the Four-Generation Pedigree of that sire will receive the Four-Generation Pedigree free. The Get of Sire – All Foals record includes a detailed summary of all foals sired by a particular stallion. Do you own foals by a particular sire and want to see what his other offspring have done? Are you curious to see how your foal compares to other foals by a sire? If so, the Get of Sire – All Foals record is a fun, informative record that’s now easier to read and download.
For members and nonmembers, the Get of Sire – All Foals record retails for $3 and $5, respectively, in addition to a 5-cent-per-foal fee. To check out the new records and purchase your Get of Sire – All Foals record with the free Four-Generation Pedigree for that sire, simply access the system and enter coupon code AV3PCVY at checkout.
