AQHA Corporate Partner MD Enterprises Teams with ABC’s “EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION,” Donates Barn

AMARILLO, Texas, January 27, 2006 – AQHA Corporate Partner MD Enterprises Inc. is pleased to announce that a barn donated by the company will be featured on the January 29 episode ABC’s “EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION.” The show airs at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central.

The 10-stall gable barn donated to the DeAeth family features a porch, nine stalls and one tack room. According to MD Barns, it was installed in one day by a team of professionals.

MD Barns sponsors the MD Barns Silver Spur Award, honoring those American Quarter Horses who have made a significant impact on the lives of others or who have been cast into the public spotlight through prominent accomplishments to help create a favorable perception of the breed. The 2005 MD Barns Silver Spur Award will be presented March 5 during AQHA’s annual convention in Seattle. The MD Barns Silver Spur Award winner is presented with a $20,000 certificate redeemable for an MD Barn. In addition, a $15,000 contribution will be made by MD Barns in honor of the first and second runners up to the American Quarter Horse Foundation.

MD Barns also co-sponsors the AQHYA and AQHA World Championship Shows and is a co-sponsor of the MBNA America Racing Challenge.
