BLOODHORSE.COM LAUNCHES INTERACTIVE GAME “BREEDERS’ CUP BRACKET BATTLES”

“Who are the greatest Breeders’ Cup Champions of all-time?” Racing fans now get their chance to decide. 4 divisions: Classic, Distaff, Juvenile, Turf.

Lexington, Ky. —BloodHorse.com announces the launch of a fun new interactive game entitled “Breeders’ Cup Bracket Battles.” Beginning today, and for the four-week period leading up to this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Oct. 24-25 at Santa Anita Park, Thoroughbred racing fans can cast their votes to determine “the greatest Breeders’ Cup champions of all-time.” Selected by The Blood-Horse staff, 64 horses (16 in each Breeders’ Cup division: Classic, Distaff, Juvenile, Turf) have been placed into a bracket (similar to college basketball’s “March Madness” brackets). Now it is up to the fans to vote for their favorites, deciding which horse among each head-to-head was the better champion. The horses receiving the most votes in each bracket will advance to the next round of sixteen, then eight, then four, and ultimately down to the final two. Will Curlin rule the Classic bracket? Azeri dominate the Distaff? Was Manila your favorite in the Turf?

Each week, a new round of voting will commence until one champion captures the fan-favorite crownFans may register to participate by visiting: http://www.BloodHorse.com/Bracket-Battles.

Voters can also discuss and debate their picks. Each bracket has its own discussion area. Who will be voted the greatest Breeders’ Cup Champion of all-time? Starting today, it is up to the fans to decide!

The entertaining game was inspired, in part, by the soon to be published, 25th Breeders’ Cup Commemorative Magazine, published by Eclipse Press, and available through ExclusivelyEquine.comThe exclusive publication features a fascinating retrospective of each year’s most memorable moments, vivid photography, Breeders’ Cup timelines, expert commentary, and more, from the Thoroughbred industry’s best writers and photographers.
