Creator of Sore No More™ and Nature’s Best Botanical Blends Approved to Display Quality Seal on Products
POTTSTOWN, PA— November 29, 2005 – Equilite Inc., creators of
the award-winning Sore-No-More(TM) arnica based herbal liniment and other botanical
animal supplement and topical products, announced that it has passed
its audit by the National Animal Supplement Council (NASC), enabling it
to display the NASC Quality Seal on its products.
“The adoption of the NASC quality seal is an important step forward for
the animal supplement industry,” said Stacey P. Small, President and
CEO of Equilite. “While Equilite has always been committed to producing
the highest quality products in the best interests of the animal, the
NASC seal now allows consumers the ability to choose a product that has
been proven to meet higher standards. We are pleased to be one of the
few herbal supplement providers able to display this seal.”
The NASC seal is only provided to NASC members who have successfully
completed a facility audit to ensure conformance with quality system
requirements. Members must agree to adhere to NASC’s quality standards
and must have a quality manual with standard operating procedures,
maintain an adverse event reporting system, follow proper label
guidelines, and include warning and cautionary statements recommended
by the Food & Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine and
the NASC Scientific Advisory Committee.
“The animal supplement industry is facing tremendous scrutiny by the FDA
and State Feed Control official who wish to make the sale of supplements
to Non Human Food Chain animals prescription only,” said Small. “By
