POTTSTOWN, PA — Equilite Inc., makers of the world famous Sore No More® liniment, will debut their new Visiting Vet and Professionals Program (VVPP) at Equine Affaire in Columbus, Ohio later this month. This new program allows horse owners access to some of the leading veterinarians, nutritionists, dentists and other professionals in the fields of alternative health care. These experts on equine health will be available to answer questions at the Equilite booth at horse expos and tradeshows throughout the year. The first Visiting Vet is Dr. William Ormston, who specializes in alternative medicine and chiropractic medicine.

“Our customers want to educate themselves about every aspect of their horse’s care,” says Stacey Small, President of Equilite Inc. “The Visiting Vet and Professionals Program is the ideal way for them to learn more and get all of their questions answered.” In addition, to benefiting the horse owners, the program also recognizes the achievements and the importance of the veterinary and professional community. Small continues, “We want to support the veterinarians and health care professionals who are devoted to the well-being of the animals we all care so much about.” VVPP gives these experts a national and regional platform in which to disseminate their information.

Dr. Ormston is delivering presentations during Equine Affaire on four exciting topics: Footprints in the sand; echoes in the hall. Using common tools to evaluate gaits and recognize gait abnormalities; How to determine whether your horse would benefit from a chiropractic exam and adjustment; Homeopathy in Horses; and Biomechanics of equine motion—understanding why certain things happen in lameness. (The schedule can be found at _www.equineaffaire.com_.) His Jubilee Animal Health, based in Dallas, Texas is a mixed animal practice that uses mostly alternative medicine. Dr. Ormston is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Small continues, “Education is very important at Equilite. We are very excited to have Dr. Ormston as our first Visiting Vet and we think he will provide valuable information to those who visit the booth.”
