Featherlite is AQHA’s newest Official Trailer,

Joins fellow Universal brands Sooner and Exiss

America’s Horse, April 29, 2008 — Featherlite joins fellow Universal Trailer brands Sooner and Exiss as AQHA’s official trailers with a new three-year agreement. For hauling precious equine cargo, AQHA members depend on Featherlite, Sooner and Exiss to transport their equine partners in safety and style. For two decades, Sooner has been an AQHA Corporate Partner, and now Featherlite is hitching up to AQHA, too.

Featherlite is the nation’s oldest “all-aluminum” horse trailer brand and has recently announced its innovative “PerfectFit™” system.  This unique approach allows buyers to customize the trailer around their precise needs – and those of their horses – without a custom price.

AQHA’s newest official trailer, Featherlite, will be hauling many of the top horses in competition. The 2008 AQHA year-end all-around amateur and all-around junior and senior horse champions will each receive a $25,000 voucher toward a Featherlite trailer. The year-end open contender and reserve amateur will each receive $20,000 vouchers toward a Featherlite trailer.

At the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma City, the Superhorse and All-Around Amateur competition winners will each receive a $25,000 voucher toward a Featherlite trailer.

Featherlite also will sponsor the Ford AQHYA World Show, AQHA World Show and AQHA Regional Experiences.

With the new agreement, Sooner will continue as a sponsor of the Bayer Select World Show in Amarillo and provide a $25,000 trailer voucher for the Bayer Select All-Around Amateur. American Quarter Horse racing’s World Champion will receive a $25,000 voucher for a new Sooner Trailer.

“The American Quarter Horse lifestyle depends on reliable transportation for our valued horses,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. “We are proud to continue our partnership with Sooner and are pleased to welcome Featherlite to our corporate partner lineup. Now with even more choices in quality trailers, AQHA members can haul their horses in comfort and style.”

Featherlite, Sooner and Exiss also ensure that AQHA members receive America’s Horse magazine with their commitment to advertising in the award-winning, most widely circulated equine magazine.

“Featherlite and its dealer network of 220 look forward to supporting AQHA and its loyal membership,” said Eric Clement, Featherlite Vice President and General Manager. “One of the benefits of this relationship is that AQHA members will be among the first to know about exciting new advances at Featherlite in equine transportation.”

Featherlite, Sooner and Exiss are part of the Universal Trailer Corporation, the largest specialty trailer company in North America today.
