FMD vaccine shows compelling results in preclinical study

This week’s Lab Notes features Inovio Pharmaceuticals, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Teleflex.

Inovio reported what the company described as “compelling results” in a study of its DNA vaccine for foot-and-mouth disease.

The virus responsible for the disease is one of the most infectious diseases affecting farm animals including cattle, swine, sheep and goats, and is a serious threat to global food safety. Read more:
