Ford Renews as AQHA Corporate Sponsor

America’s Horse, June 1, 2009 — Since 2002, Ford Motor Company has been the official cars, trucks, crossover utility vehicles and sports utility vehicles of AQHA. The seven-year partnership has been extended through 2010, and AQHA members benefit with a private $500 purchase incentive on Ford Motor Company vehicles in addition to their sponsorship support of our programs.

In 2009, Ford will be the title sponsor of the AQHYA World Show and also will sponsor the AQHA World Show. Look for Ford Truck ads in all three of AQHA’s award-winning publications and at www.aqha.com. The Ford AQHYA World Show takes place July 31- August 8 in Oklahoma City. Visit www.aqha.com/youth/activities/yws/index.html for more information on the Ford AQHYA World Show.

During 2010, Ford will provide a 2010 F-150 XLT SuperCrew for the AQHYA scholarship fund raffle. The redesigned 2009 Ford F-150 captured 14 prestigious automotive awards. Among them, the 2009 Motor Trend™ Truck of the Year, Truck of Texas from the Texas Auto Writers Association, America’s Safest Full-Size Pickup and earned a 5-star crash rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

“We are very pleased to have Ford renew their support of AQHA,” said Don Treadway Jr., AQHA Executive Vice President. “Combining the horse powers of American Quarter Horses and Ford Trucks is a true marketing partnership. We appreciate all that Ford has done to support our youth members through their continued involvement in the Ford AQHYA World Show and supporting education through the scholarship raffle. Ford is truly our automotive manufacturer of choice.”

Doug Scott, Ford Group Marketing Manager for Truck, Utility and Commercial Vehicles, believes the relationship is grounded in common purpose. “The Quarter Horse was America’s original workhorse. It’s no surprise this is America’s most popular breed today. Our F-Series trucks are America’s best selling trucks for 32 years running, proving we are America’s workhorse. At the center of our relationship is the recognition that horse owners, trainers and breeders across this country demand reliable, dependable, well-engineered trucks to haul their precious cargo.”
