FREE ADMISSION TO THE NATIONAL COWGIRL MUSEUM AND
HALL OF FAME FOR VICTIMS OF HURRICANE KATRINA
FORT WORTH, Texas – The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame joins other Fort Worth attractions like Fort Worth Cats Baseball and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History in offering free admission to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
While the devastation continues to climb in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast, the National Cowgirl Museum wishes to extend its deepest concern to those affected by this catastrophic storm.
“This is the least we can do,†said Patricia Riley, executive director of the National Cowgirl Museum. “It’s heartbreaking to know entire families are pouring into the Metroplex not knowing when they can return home. I only hope during this time, we can offer them a bit of escape from it all.â€
Residents of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama that are displaced by Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath can receive free admission by simply showing their valid drivers license. Offer will stand through September 30, 2005.
The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame honors and documents the lives of women who have distinguished themselves while exemplifying the pioneer spirit of the American West. Located at 1720 Gendy Street in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, the museum includes interactive exhibit galleries, three theaters, a retail store and a grand rotunda housing the Hall of Fame. The museum is open on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Please visit www.cowgirl.net or call 817/336-4475 or 800/476-FAME (3263) for general information.
