LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — So just how many horses are galloping or plodding in the self-proclaimed equine capital of the world? A new study will provide an updated head count for the animal that’s long been a symbol of Kentucky.
The survey is billed as the state’s most comprehensive equine count since 1977 — when Seattle Slew won the Triple Crown and Jimmy Carter was in the White House.
