Youth from around the world to compete July 31 – August 8 in Oklahoma City.
The American Quarter Horse Journal, June 6, 2009 – The theme for the 2009 Ford AQHYA World Championship Show is “Rock Your World,” and more than 1,500 youth exhibitors have already qualified to compete. National qualifying ended April 30.
There are still opportunities for American Quarter Horse Youth Association members to be part of the excitement in Oklahoma City. Each affiliate can send four entries per class to compete at the Ford Youth World. Contact your state affiliate for more information. Last year, Morgan Holmes represented Florida as a state qualifier in performance halter mares at the Ford Youth World. Morgan and her gray mare Photons Cool Carrie took home the gold world championship trophy and a prize package.
Ford Youth World also offers AQHYA members the opportunity to compete without their horses.

The Ford AQHYA World Championship Show is the world’s largest single-breed youth world championship show. This is the pinnacle for youth around the world who will compete in the 33 classes in halter, English and western disciplines. The 2009 Ford Youth World will be July 31-August 8 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
