America’s Horse, April 28, 2008 – The American Quarter Horse Association’s newly released “Best Remuda Award Winners” DVD is bringing some of America’s most noteworthy ranches, their cowboys, the traditions they follow and the award winning remudas that define the ranches and their work into the front rooms of horse and western lifestyle lovers everywhere. A ranch remuda is defined as the herd of horses from which those to be used for the day are chosen. AQHA Executive Director of Publications and author Jim Jennings takes a look at the first 15 individual winners in his book “Best Remudas,” discovering what makes each ranch and remuda unique. The “Best Remuda Award Winners” DVD features some of Jim’s experiences during his visits to the different ranches and also includes the 16th winner of the Best Remuda award.
