An experimental drug called CS-8958 was more effective than Tamiflu in treating bird flu in laboratory mice, according to a new study. The animals infected with avian flu treated with the new drug exhibited a better survival rate and lower levels of the virus compared with those treated with Tamiflu, per the study.
