New Look for Hall of Fame Unveiled

The American Quarter Horse Journal – The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum formally dedicated its newly renovated Wall of Honor Plaza on Tuesday, August 31 in conjunction with the AQHA Adequan Select World Championship Show.

The new Wall of Honor welcomes visitors to the Hall of Fame from two unique perspectives. From the east, you now see a herd of running American Quarter Horses; from the west, new granite bricks preserve and pay tribute to the people and horses meaningful to our generous donors.

The new Wall of Honor Plaza allows for many exciting opportunities to memorialize and honor people and horses through gifts to the Foundation. For information on purchasing a commemorative piece, visitwww.aqha.com/foundation or call (806) 378-5029.

The renovation and enhancement of the new Wall of Honor Plaza was made possible by a donation from Rick and Lori Bucholz of Omaha, Nebraska, who were recognized by AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway during the Plaza dedication ceremony.

“With the help of Rick and Lori Bucholz, we rebuilt the wall. The new structure preserves the bricks from the past, and offers opportunity to honor horse heroes in the future,” Treadway said.

As part of the ceremony and as a tribute to Rick, a bronze replica of Rick’s saddle was unveiled. The saddle is permanently displayed in the Wall of Honor Plaza.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information and admission prices, visit www.aqhhalloffame.com.
