Owner won’t be charged in pony deaths

No animal-cruelty or other criminal charges will be filed against the owner of two ponies found shot to death last week in Snoqualmie, authorities said Thursday.

A necropsy determined that the animals were killed instantaneously — a key factor in determining whether the act was considered humane and, therefore, legal, said Diana Toledo, enforcement coordinator with King County Animal Care and Control.
