Paint Horses receive top honors at USTRC National Finals

FORT WORTH, TEXAS— The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) recognized three talented horses with “Catch For Cash” incentive money for their efforts at the United States Team Roping Championships (USTRC) National Finals, held Oct. 22–29 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

Part of APHA’s effort to reward Paint Horses for their success in competition outside APHA-approved events, the Catch For Cash incentive program honors the owners of the highest-placing Paint Horses enrolled at the USTRC National Finals. The total payout was $5,000 added money to top registered American Paint Horses entered in the Professional (Open and No. 15), Amateur (Nos. 13, 12 and 11) and Novice (Nos. 10,9 and 8 ) divisions, as well as the All-Girl Championship.

“APHA is proud of the breed’s growth and success in the sport of team roping, and we will continue to encourage the Paint Horse’s popularity with our support at this prestigious competition,” said APHA Paint Programs Coordinator Jessica McDaniel.
