America’s Horse, April 7, 2009 – What would a horse event be without a boots, jeans and a bling fashion show? That’s what we have at QuarterFest: A Celebration of the American Quarter Horse. Sponsored by AQHA Corporate Partners Wrangler, Montana Silversmiths and Justin, the fashion show will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2.
Come to the QuarterFest fashion show to see the latest in Western apparel: Wrangler’s Q-Baby and Cash riding jeans, Aura jeans, capris and tops; the Tough Enough To Wear Pink clothing line that honors breast cancer survivors and the brave women and men who continue to battle the disease; and all of the company’s celebrity signature lines, including those from George Strait, Tracy Byrd, Craig Morgan, Trent Willmon and Ashton Shepherd.
While Wrangler will provide the clothes, Justin Boots is bringing the footwear: the comfortable, leather Chukkas; classic ropers; the hip, wild and colorful Justin Gypsy line for girls and women; and, of course, the classy Justin-AQHA line of boots for men and women.
Montana Silversmiths – AQHA’s official provider of bling – will top off every outfit worn with its gorgeous watches, bracelets, rings, necklaces, earrings and belt buckles.
We’ve thrown out the CD background music and are bringing in up-and-coming country music artist Emily Riesen to provide the tunes for this Wild West duds showcase.
Growing up in Warsaw, Illinois, Emily was exposed to all kinds of music. Her dad played more than 12 instruments and her mother provided the vocals. This quilt of sounds was the backdrop of her life. Emily performed locally in talent shows, school musicals and theme parks. Soon she was fronting her own band. Emily’s college courses took her straight to music city to attend master classes with the finest of Nashville’s music industry. Upon graduation from Southern Illinois University, she moved to Nashville. For Emily, her music is the diary of her life and through it she shares some of her most personal and emotional experiences. Find out more about Emily on her MySpace page, www.myspace.com/emilyriesen.
