The American Quarter Horse and National Reining Horse associations are giving media at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games the opportunity of a lifetime – a ride aboard a reining-trained American Quarter Horse.<
The American Quarter Horse Journal – During the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, September 25 – October 10, in Lexington, Kentucky, we welcome our friends with the media to come to the American Quarter Horse Association booth for a free gift. While you are at the AQHA booth, take the opportunity of a lifetime to ride a trustworthy American Quarter Horse as it performs reining maneuvers. AQHA and the National Reining Horse Association, along with AQHA and NRHA Corporate Partner John Deere, have teamed up to make this event possible.
No matter your horsemanship skill level, AQHA, NRHA and John Deere are committed to giving members of the WEG media pool an experience aboard an American Quarter Horse they won’t soon forget.
AQHA Test Rides, NRHA Ride-A-Reiner and the AQHA-NRHA demonstrations take place several times a day at the John Deere Reining Arena during WEG. See the complete schedule for rides and demonstrations.
If you can’t make it to Lexington to cover the event, you can still watch it on NBC and stay in tune with what’s happening because AQHA will be there. In the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games blog on America’s Horse Daily, we’ll keep you up to date on all the latest news and behind-the-scenes activities. It’ll be the next best thing to being there.
The NBC TV coverage marks the largest commitment a network has ever made to equestrian sports in U.S. television history. It includes coverage on:
• Sunday, September 26, live coverage from noon to 1:30 p.m. EDT, featuring team reining competition
• Sunday, October 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. EDT, featuring individual reining competition
• Sunday, October 10, from 4 to 6 p.m. EDT, reining featured as part of the overall WEG recap
