Winner featured on “AQHA Presents” on RFD-TV Network
America’s Horse, April 4, 2008 – The April 7 deadline to enter the American Quarter Horse Association’s new contest, “Team Wrangler – Fix My American Quarter Horse!” is almost here. If you have relationship woes with your American Quarter Horse and could use some help getting back on track, then you should enter now for a chance at this great opportunity!
The only way to enter the contest is online, and it is open to people who are members as of March 16. AQHA members can log on to www.aqhamembers.com and describe what part of their relationship with their American Quarter Horse needs attention in an essay of 100 words or less. The selected winner will have Team Wrangler members come to their barn for a two-day training session to help fix the problem. Plus, the winner will be featured on an upcoming episode of “AQHA Presents” on the RFD-TV network and in America’s Horse magazine. Prizes for second through 10th place winners include “AQHA’s Fundamentals of Horsemanship: Step 1” and Wrangler apparel.
“This contest focuses on three important areas,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Bill Brewer. “Those are providing a benefit to membership, providing education and spotlighting the talents of the world’s best horsemen and women. We believe this will make for great television.”
“AQHA Presents” airs three times weekly – Wednesdays at 1 p.m. and 11 p.m. Eastern and Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. Eastern. Now available in more than 31 million homes, RFD-TV can be seen on satellite systems Dish (Channel 231) and DirectTV (Channel 379), as well as Mediacom, Charter, Suddenlink, Bresnan and Comcast cable systems. Team Wrangler is a joint effort of AQHA and AQHA Corporate Partner Wrangler, and is a year-long competition featuring members of the AQHA Association of Professional Horsemen representing both racing and show disciplines within the American Quarter Horse industry.
