America’s Horse, May 23, 2008 – The American Quarter Horse Association’s weekly television series “AQHA Presents” features the much-anticipated “Team Wrangler Fix My Horse” episode on May 28.
After reviewing many aqha.com contest entries in which members described a problem area with their horse, AQHA selected Corinne Livengood of Butler, Pennsylvania, as the lucky member to be featured in the episode and America’s Horse magazine. Livengood’s winning essay was chosen from more than 200 entries and was a plea for help from her 8-year-old American Quarter Horse gelding Apparently Insane, also known as “Jake,” who needs assistance with lead changes. Livengood and Jake are all-around competitors who want to expand their list of classes.
Team Wrangler members Leslie Lange, Charlie Cole and Ted Turner visit Livengood and Jake to fix their lead change problem and also help Livengood prepare for halter classes, which she hopes to begin entering. RFD-TV viewers get to watch all the action as the Team Wrangler members take on the training challenge.
AQHA’s next online competition, “Team Wrangler Make Over My Horse,” is a search for an American Quarter Horse Youth Association member and American Quarter Horse to feature on an upcoming episode and also in America’s Horse magazine. Entries are limited to youth members and are accepted until June 9. Check www.aqha.com for contest details.
