Dublin, TX, April 8, 2010 – Performance, speed, agility, heart and character are all words used to describe the fine equine athletes that
barrel racers across the world own and love. The Barrel Racing Report honored these fine equine athletes in the first ever Barrel Racing
Report Barrel Horses of the Year. The votes have been tallied and the champions have been crowned.
This exciting inaugural event began with open nominations to all horses that fit their respective categories. All nominations were allowed
for the first year of voting. Each category was posted online at www.barrelracingreport.com for voting which commenced in mid February.
Thousands of votes were cast in each category, an impressive turnout for the first annual event. The final vote was based 50% on
popular vote and 50% on committee vote. This process resulted in a well deserving group of barrel horses, owners and riders who have all
earned their titles.
Each of the champions will be featured in upcoming issues of the Barrel Racing Report (www.barrelracingreport.com).
