USDA program issues new pasture rule for organic farms

USDA’s National Organic Program has issued a new rule that farm animals must spend a minimum of 120 days per year on pasture to be considered organic. “It’s been a very divisive issue within the organic community, and we’re happy to put clarity around this issue,” said the program’s Miles McEvoy. The Seattle Times
