USDA seeks to address shortage of vets in rural areas

The USDA is planning to reimburse the student loans of qualified veterinarians who agree to work in those parts of the country that are suffering from a veterinary shortage. “This program will help reduce veterinary shortages, especially in the area of food animal medicine,” said Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. KWCH-TV (Wichita, Kan.)
