A bill that would allow equine dentists — commonly called horse teeth floaters — to practice without being arrested cleared the last legislative hurdle Thursday and is on its way to the governor.
The topic has dominated much of this year’s session and was the subject of two legislative interim studies last fall. Many lawmakers seemed weary of the issue Thursday. Most have been inundated with e-mails the past several weeks from both sides, and several said they received telephone calls Wednesday night urging them to vote no.
