A new “old wives tale”

I was told by a vet that paint horses are more likley to have leg/feet problems vs. quarter horses. I already had a paint that turned out to have knee problems, and so did my trainer, and that got me thinking. I was curious if you knew anything on the subjectt?

That’s a new “old wives tale” – hadn’t heard that one before and I’m really surprised a vet would seriously repeat that…. Are you sure he wasn’t “pulling your leg”?

Martha Wright

No he was serious. I was asking him what to look for in a barrel horses comformation and he said not to get a paint.

Emily

Gosh, if everyone took his stance, then there would be some really good barrel horses that were left standing in the pasture and never had the chance to show their stuff!
