HASTINGS — Yellow police tape stretched around the 4-H swine barn at the Barry County Fairgrounds, with about 350 hogs quarantined inside instead of heading for the butcher.
Fair officials requested the voluntary quarantine Saturday night after an outbreak of what is believed to be a viral swine influenza.
